Why marathon runner (non-elite or non-pro) is always a mad person?
1. Gets up at 3-3.30 oclk in the morning on race days and training days giving up his all important sleep just to run long. Pagal hai na?
2. Scientifically proven that normal human body can run till 25 km above which it needs fuels due to lack of energy and possibility of lactic acid formation (brings fatigue). Still these mad men/women run 17.2 km more than 25 despite knowing this fact.
3. They know they don't have to run so long to stay fit but still they do - madness redefined?
4. Normal people use gels to shape their head hair but marathon runners eat them - trust me I ain't lying.
5. Normal people prefer salt after a tequila but these species eat it without a tequila shot. Not only that, they spend 30 Rs. for a capsule which contains salt - you need any more proofs of madness?
6. Normal people would prefer taking a cab for a 5 km distance but a marathon runner would say - "Kya cab karta hai, yehi to hai, chal ke jaate hai." (Trust me they get abused for this time to time)
7. Do marathon runners who run marathons know that they are troubling their body? Yes they do. Fir bhagte kyu hai - "10 km warmup ki kasam, iska reason vo khud hi jaante hai" (you heard it right about warmup)
8. Do you know that there is a small probability of getting chaffed (thats a normal word for a marathoner but it means getting cuts on body) when u run a marathon? Imagine their madness when they do it despite knowing ki yeh ho sakta hai.
9. Ask any marathon runner - "Kyu bhag rahe ho marathon." Siva "Self satisfaction" ke alava koi answer diya to vo jhoot bol raha hai. Yeh "Some pain is good" bolne waali jamaat hai, inke sath thoda pyaar se bartav kare.
10. Last but not the least - Iss bimari ka koi ilaaz hai? Jarur hai. Inshallah kudrat bhi itni sundar hai ki aise pagalon ke liye bhi dava banai hai. Jab ultra running (public 12 ghanta, 24 ghanta, 100 kms, 200 kms bhi bhagti hai) ke baare mein sunoge tab yeh jamaat normal dikhne lagegi.
